Originally released in 2006 on Jihad Muhammad's Movement Soul imprint (MSR-004), "No More War" gets the makeover treatment courtesy of the good people at Camio Recordings.
In addition to the superb original mix, this release also showcases 6 remixes. The most noteworthy renditions are afforded by the duo of Trinidadian Deep & Bradford James (collectively, Seedadiandeep), as well as the DJ Man-X remix. As expected, Groove Assassins knit together a solid re-edit of the original mix, whereas the Dolls Combers moulding is a pleasant 10 minute journey, very reminiscent of some of Incognito's feelgood and highly musical House productions. Unfortunately, Dom Navarra's remix misses the mark altogether.
All-in-all, this release gets my overall thumbs up, as the Man-X, Groove Assassins and Seedadiandeep versions carry the brunt of the weight.
